The Molecular Spectroscopy Group
The MSG is an interest group of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK.
Our spectroscopic interests include (but are not limited to):
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy
Mass Spectrometry (MS)
Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)
Infrared (IR), Near-Infrared (NIR)
Terahertz Spectroscopy
UV/Vis Spectroscopy
Fluorescence Spectroscopy
EPR/ESR Spectroscopy
Raman Spectroscopy
And others...
The group works together with the RSC, related interest groups and external organisations to deliver scientific meetings covering the latest advances in the field of Molecular Spectroscopy.
If you would like to contact the committee, please email us molecularspectroscopygroup@gmail.com.

Molecular Spectroscopy for Disease Diagnostics
The Molecular Spectroscopy Group are holding a one-day meeting at Burlington House to bring together scientists working on molecular spectroscopy techniques for disease diagnostics applications. The meeting will cover a variety of sample matrices, techniques, and associated data methods. There is a discounted registration rate for early career scientists, who are encouraged to submit an abstract for a contributed talk or poster. Travel bursaries are also available through the MSG.
Invited speakers
Prof. Josephine Bunch, National Physical Laboratory and Imperial College London.
Prof. Peter Gardner, University of Manchester
Prof. Mark Bradley, Queen Mary University of London
Dr Jenifer Mizen, Owlstone
Dr Angelika Skarysz, Loughborough University
